I am a 28-year-old wheelchair user from Merrickville, Ontario. Throughout my life, I have encountered both amazing accessibility and impossible to believe barriers. On this site, I will document my journey as a person with a disability. My highs, my lows, and everything in between. Really impressed with the accessible bathrooms at my cardiology clinic. The toilet was at the right height for transfer, the tap was where I could reach it and so was the soap, and the hand dryers were at a level where I could actually use them. There was plenty of turning radius for my chair…
